Are kangaroos hunted and eaten like we do with deer in USA?

Yes, they are like deer in the sense that they are a pest to farmers and ranchers. How ever unlike deer, you do not need a license to kill them nor is there a season. As far as taste goes, They are in the same family, so I am sure they taste the same.
